Hello, Hello, Twenty-Twenty-Six
Lyric
Verse 1
Midnight rings, the year turns round,
We take a breath, we hear the sound,
We let go of the weight we knew,
And take one step towards something new.
Chorus
Hello, hello, twenty-twenty-six,
New days start with every step,
We look ahead, we learn, we try,
We lift our heads and reach the sky.
Verse 2
The streets are bright, the night feels wide,
We meet the year side by side,
Different roads all led us here,
Now we move on, calm and clear.
Verse 3
We keep the good, we drop the rest,
The past has taught us more than tests,
We’re not the same as yesterday,
We’ve grown a little on the way.
Chorus
Hello, hello, twenty-twenty-six,
We raise our voice, a simple wish,
For quieter days and steadier plans,
A kinder world in human hands.
Bridge 1
Let the fighting fade away,
Let people live in gentler ways,
No need to hurt, no need to choose sides,
Just space to live, just space for lives.
Verse 4
The clock moves on, the moment’s now,
We don’t need perfect, just somehow,
Small good choices, day by day,
Help point the future on its way.
Verse 5
We choose to live, not rush the time,
To laugh, to rest, to draw the line,
To care for now, for me and you,
And build a life that feels more true.
Chorus
Hello, hello, twenty-twenty-six,
May joy be found in simple things,
Good days ahead, good company,
All the best for you and me.
Bridge 2
When the road feels long or slow,
When change is hard and hard to show,
We keep our pace, we don’t give in,
Quiet effort still can win.
Verse 6
When fireworks fade and crowds move on,
The work of living carries on,
In how we speak, in what we do,
In choosing care the whole year through.
Verse 7
Side by side we face the days,
Not chasing shine or louder praise,
Just choosing hope again and then,
And doing what we can — as friends.
Final Chorus
Hello, hello, twenty-twenty-six,
New days start with every step,
With open eyes and open hands,
We shape tomorrow as we can,
Hello, hello, hear us say,
This is our year, this is our way,
With hope, with care, with steady ground,
We move ahead — together now.
Between the Lines
For all those who lost their lives in 2025
A song written with the greatest respect and the most loving thoughts for all those who lost their lives in 2025; for the many who are experiencing war and terror, and who live under threat. This is an insecure world we are living in, with hope for a better 2026. It is not intended to be seen from a political or religious perspective, but simply as a song about how the world looks today.
Lyric
Verse 1
The war in Europe carries on.
Through summer heat and winter long.
People pay the price each day.
As broken lives slip fast away.
Chorus 1
This is an insecure world we’re in.
The ground feels thinner year by year.
Too many lives are already gone.
To force and fear that carry on.
Verse 2
In the Middle East the fighting stops.
Then starts again with falling drops.
Ceasefires promised, torn apart.
Civilians trapped with broken hearts.
Bridge 1
So many names we never hear.
So many wounds that stay unclear.
No number shows what this has done.
Each life was whole, then suddenly none.
Verse 3
In South America fleets arrive.
Warships waiting, standing by.
No war declared, but forces stay.
Prepared for what may come one day.
Chorus 2
It’s a heavy weight the world must face.
When decisions are made far away.
The cost is paid in ordinary lives.
That carry on through days and nights.
Verse 4
Artificial Intelligence grows.
Doing work we used to know.
Machines replace the human hand.
And change the lives we understand.
Bridge 2
We give our time, we give our trust.
We give away more than we must.
Step by step we move along.
Trying hard to stay headstrong.
Verse 5
They make their money from how we act.
From every click, from every track.
Our habits train the systems fast.
While power moves beyond our grasp.
Chorus 3
This insecure world keeps moving on.
As if the warning signs were gone.
But every gain is paid somewhere.
By someone left to carry care.
Verse 6
Jobs disappear without a sound.
As code replaces what we found.
Some places grow, some fall behind.
A deeper split divides our kind.
Verse 7
In East Asia tensions rise.
Close encounters test the lines.
No war declared, but fear is near.
As every move is watched in fear.
Bridge 3
We listen close for warning signs.
Between the now and fragile lines.
One wrong move, one moment late.
Can change the path we hope won’t take.
Verse 8
In Greenland ice still shapes the land.
Where people live by their own hand.
Outside interest grows too fast.
But choice remains with those who last.
Final Outro
We hope the wars will one day end.
And broken lives can start again.
A life where children sleep in peace.
And years like this one finally cease.

Notes
The idea of creating music began several years ago when we were asked to produce a number of introductory pieces for a company that needed music to present its different departments as part of a virtual online presentation.
A team was assembled for the project, and we have continued to collaborate virtually ever since. Our music, songs, and the full production behind each track are created through cooperation across several countries. We find it exciting to write songs and produce music, and over the years this work has grown into many hundreds of compositions.
The music is the result of cross-border collaboration. Our singers come from the Philippines, Singapore, Copenhagen, and the United Kingdom, while our sound engineer is based in Vietnam, alongside musicians from several other parts of the world.
We hope the music brings happiness. Communication can take many forms, and much can be expressed through song lyrics. Above all, it is something we truly enjoy creating.
Song, music and lyrics: A collaborative cross-country ensemble led by vocalist performers Marlene, Derek, Martin, and Flemming. The musical arrangement includes Matt on piano, Thor on harmonica, and Viv on ukulele. The production was crafted by Adam on beats, with mixing and mastering handled by Thomas. All songwriting, composition, and lyrics were penned by Christian.
We write about many different subjects. However, it is important to emphasise that none of our content is intended to promote any political or religious viewpoint. We remain entirely neutral and simply describe situations as we experience and observe them.
